Something very special will happen at the Exhibition opening in St. Petersburg on May 29th, 2013. Mikhail Chemiakin’s personal exhibition to be presented in the Russian Museum’s Marble Palace

Anton Adasinsky & Slava Polunin will take care of the live action part at the opening.

On June 13 & 14 DEREVO performs “HARLEKIN” in Norway at the Porsgrunn International Theatre Festival.

On July 4 & 5 the new show previews PARADOX KASPER are running in Dresden as part of the Scheune Schaubudensommer Festival.

As soon as more appearences will be confirmed they will be available in our Tour Plan.

On April the 2nd, 2013 «Faust» has won in four main categories at the Nika - Russian film academy award. One of the awards went to Anton Adasinsky for his role as Mephistopheles-Moneylender.

NOW - 15.03.2013 - in the Middle of White

I was quite full of wonder after my brief visit to Moscow to the Lumiere Gallery.

I hadn’t expected that so many people were still able to walk slowly and speak gently, to look into your eyes and even to listen to you without meddling with their iphones right in front of your face. I’m speaking of the visitors to the exhibition and to my gig there.

The exhibition Time of the Bells is a VERY GOOD one. Thank you to Nastya and all other organisers behind the scenes.

Meanwhile the DEREVO studio in Dresden has been turned into a filming location. A motion picture in progress is:

NOW - 13.02.2013 - back on stage

What an exceptional human being is living among us!
Never gives any master classes; never goes to the theatre but still when she does see something, she always offers praise; never starts serious talks about art.
And if they talk about Butoh or dance or theatre, she would just run away.
More likely sitting in a corner, busy with costumes. Respectful but indifferent toward Music, although she made her own CD “The man kissing the bottom of a boat”.

However, no any single DEREVO show would exist without her.
And two years long editing of the film, ‘Süd. Grenze’, it’s hers.
And Fanchulya in The Rider.
And Donna Flora in Once… and Zhizha and the Jester in La Divina Commedia, along with many other inimitable characters and figures.

There were times she was ill or busy and someone had to replace her but it was never quite the same.
Not enough DEREVO…
Though she does no somersaults and breathes no fire,
It’s impossible to avert your eyes when she’s on stage.
And now after one and a half year break (the cause is known) Elena Yarovaya comes back on boards in HARLEKIN: on March the 1st in St Petersburg! And in Mephisto Waltz on March 23d in Warsaw and in La Divina Commedia on March 29th to 31st in Hellerau in Dresden.

In 2012 DEREVO has managed to produce three new shows: „Noah’s Ark“, „5th Sun“ and „Sake, Moon and Horse“. The CD „Doppio“ has been produced as well and the new book „DEREVO in Dresden“. Both out sons, Arthud and David are already rushing to the stage… they should better become interested in chess.

We hug you all!!

We are now rehearsing the show named 5th Sun…

Yes, we do know about all the hype. As about Maya Codex, as their calendar, as about everybody’s endeavours to disappear altogether.

Though we don’t want to disappear. After all we don’t speak Spanish and we’ve got mixed up with all those gods and faithes long ago.

But what’s just came to my mind…

Some bad guy, probably from the South, wouldn’t allow a kid to see the outer world from a birth until the age of fifteen. Just to see the lad’s reaction to the Sun and a sunset. And so the Big Moment comes, the sun comes down and the boy says; „Don’t worry, it will come back again!“.

Well, that is what we’re working on now joyfully.

NOW - 19.11.2012 - Boris Strugatsky

And so it goes.

Either due to lack of sleep or due to some general weariness but tears came right away when I’ve read „Boris Strugatsky is dead“.

I never knew it would entrain me so much.

He wasn’t a „writer“ or „sci-fi author“. It was just the easiest way to define Strugatsky brothers.

But it’s more complicated.

They were like a transmitter on a wave which is not hitting those who’s „harmless“.

Remember this? We all hear just one voice in each one’s telephone receiver, though we do hear different things. („Disquiet“ / „Snail on the Slope“)

Maybe sometime we’ll find out what their warnings, their discoveries, their predictions were about.

I’ve been pushing the „Snail…“ among all my friends, stoned admirers of Berdyaev, Crowley and Castaneda. But it wasn’t in fashion then.

Aliens do not die. It must be some other word. We don’t know it yet.

According to the long-year December tradition DEREVO performs a series of new works and brings back some older shows at the Festspielhaus Hellerau in Dresden.

“Fifth Sun”

An abstract tales or myths make children and scientists happy. Common people rather passionately discuss those concerning the End of the World. Like The Flood, The Fire from the Sky, The Mad Asteroid and of course The Maya Calender. The End Of the Fifth Sun is on 21.12.2012. But the premiere is on 20th of December, don’t worry.

Yes, that’s true. Everything comes in its time. To all of us.
Provided that we really do live,
That Time goes only in one direction,
And that I do understand WHAT I’m writing…

This is what I’d like to put in question.

“Sake, the Moon and a Horse”

Solo performance by Anton Adasinsky with unique improvisations.

„Unique, ‘cos I positively couldn’t repeat them again.“

In the first part an influence of Sake on the perception of the Moon is being examined.
It has nothing to do with a Horse.

In the second part the Moon in a state of Sake is being examined. There’s a Horse appearing in the distance.

In the third part nothing is being examined because of Sake. A Horse nears and turns out to be white.

During final applause it becomes clear that Sake is the name of a Girl.
